Separating Text Logs by Month

Mercury 2.0 Unstable

  1. Open resources/config/locations.xml from the Mercury program folder
  2. Find the Location entry with Name userdir.msn.txt.logfile
  3. In the Value, add (date_yearmonth) to the path at the place where you wish the month-specific folders to appear for example:
    Value="(userdir.msn.logs)/text/(date_yearmonth)/(email).txt"

Mercury 1.9 Stable

  1. Open Account settings (Options > Account Settings)
  2. Go to Conversations/Settings
  3. Under Chat logs, check the box that says Separate log files by month (also make sure the Basic text files checkbox is also checked)
