Changing the tray library

Since none of the tray libraries I tried work for all users, you can choose it yourself from Global Preferences, Tray icon library.

If Mercury crashes without anything in the info log (like when pressing cancel in the settings dialog), this is caused by the swt tray icon, only solution is to switch tray libs.

  1. Go to http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.5.1-200909170800/index.php#SWT
  2. Download the zip file for your platform
  3. Open the zip
  4. Place the swt.jar in program folder/lib
    • On Mac, you will need to edit info.plist, add swt.jar to the classpath
  5. Restart
